Experience the joy of making music with singers age 55 and up! The Goldenrod Chorale is a community chorus in Hoboken NJ centered on the shared experience of singing together. Our mission is to provide joyful musical experiences, especially for those 55 and up; to build connections through music; and to create a supportive community in which everyone’s voice is valued. We are in our second season, and we welcome all singers who can carry a tune. Rehearsals are Mondays 1:30-3:30 pm at the Hoboken Multi-Service Center (124 Grand Street).
"Imagine" May 2nd
We will present our spring concert, “Imagine: Songs of Hope and Resilience,” on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 4pm. All Saint’s Episcopal Parish, 701 Washington St., Hoboken. Tickets are available! We ask for a suggested donation of $10, but a donation is not required.
In addition to John Lennon’s iconic “Imagine” we will perform Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Forever Young,” “Tonight” and “Somewhere” from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, “What a Wonderful World” by George Weiss & Bob Thiele, “Behind the Mountain” by Isaac Lovedahl, and “Sing Me a Song” (“Fa Una Canzona”) by Renaissance composer Orazio Vecchi. We will ask you to join us for a closing singalong of “I Lift My Voice” by Andrea Ramsey and “If I Had a Hammer” by Pete Seeger. Please join us for a reception following the show.
Joining the Goldenrod Chorale is easy. Just fill out this form to let us know of your interest! While no audition is necessary, we will ask to hear each singer individually for voice part placement. Not sure if you want to commit? No problem—come to the first rehearsal and see how you like it! Participation is free for all singers.
